Divided Boxes

Project creation

Class Length:

4.0 hours

Take your table saw skills to the next level in this intermediate woodworking class. Students will design and build a divided storage box complete with a fitted lid, interior dividers, and clean joinery. The project introduces a variety of precision cuts and joinery methods, including rabbets, dados, and bevels, all made on the table saw.
Throughout the class, participants will gain experience setting up blades and fences for accurate cuts, creating snug-fitting joints, and assembling parts with care. Instructors will guide you through the process of planning dimensions, labeling faces for orientation, and maintaining consistency across all parts of the build.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a beautifully crafted box and a deeper understanding of how to use the table saw as a precision tool—essential knowledge for any aspiring furniture maker.
